Hi, I’m Evelyn. Welcome to my kitchen.

I’m Evelyn, and this is my kitchen. Every recipe I share carries a piece of my family’s story. Thanks for stopping by.
I’m 45, a wife, and a full-time mom to a sweet 12-year-old girl. I’ve never held a job outside the home—and I’m proud of that. Because my real profession, the one that has shaped every part of who I am, was passed down to me when I was just a little girl: the art of home cooking.
I grew up side by side with my grandmother, a kind and generous soul who spent her life between the garden and the kitchen stove. She never wrote down recipes, never used timers—she cooked by instinct, with her hands, her heart, and the seasons. I remember the smell of fresh herbs on her apron, the way she moved between pots, the sound of bubbling soups on cold days. Her kitchen wasn’t just a place to eat—it was where love was made visible.

After she passed away, I found myself holding on tightly to every dish, every memory, every flavor she left behind. Cooking became my way of keeping her with me. And today, as I raise my own daughter, I see that same spark growing in her. I share with her what was once given to me, because these recipes aren’t just food—they’re family. They’re legacy. They’re life.
That’s how Lamy Recipes was born.

What you’ll find here
This isn’t a blog run by a chef or a food stylist. I don’t aim for perfection—I aim for comfort, for warmth, and for honesty. Every recipe I share comes from my home, my memories, and my table.
You’ll find:
- Cozy, home-style recipes made with real ingredients
- Stories that bring the dishes to life
- Tips and twists I’ve learned through years of family cooking
- And above all, food made to be shared—with love
No fluff. No complicated techniques. Just the kind of meals that make people pause, smile, and say “This tastes like home.”
Why “Lamy”?
“Lamy” is what my grandmother used to call her old, worn apron. It was always draped over her shoulder, always ready. That little word now holds so much meaning for me. Naming this blog Lamy Recipes is my way of keeping her spirit close.

My hope
That this blog becomes a place where you feel welcome. That it inspires you to cook not just for the sake of eating, but for the joy of nourishing others. That maybe, just maybe, one of these recipes becomes part of your story too.
So pull up a chair. There’s always room at my table.
